About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced, proactive Facilities Site Manager to take ownership of facilities management across our sites, primarily based at Wyton, with regular travel to Coventry and occasional cover at Bruntingthorpe as and when required.

This is an opportunity for an established Facilities Manager who can bring discipline, accountability and innovation to our sites. You’ll take ownership of facilities performance, driving high standards of statutory compliance, maintenance delivery, safety and continuous improvement across a busy automotive environment.

Working closely with the Head of Facilities, site operations teams, HSE colleagues, contractors and other key stakeholders, you’ll ensure our facilities remain safe, compliant, efficient and fit for purpose.

You’ll need to be confident making decisions, challenging suppliers and stakeholders where necessary and balancing competing priorities across multiple sites. We’re looking for someone who turns findings into actions, takes personal responsibility for outcomes and is motivated to make a tangible difference.

The role will also include line management responsibility for a team of three, including electrical and mechanical engineering colleagues.

The position is Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, although some out-of-hours working may occasionally be required to support operational needs.

The successful candidate should live within reasonable commuting distance of our Wyton site and be comfortable travelling regularly to Coventry and occasionally to Bruntingthorpe.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Facilities Management - Oversee reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and general facilities requests across your sites.
  • Health & Safety Compliance - Conduct inspections, support audits and ensure statutory and company compliance requirements are met.
  • Contractor Management - Coordinate external contractors, review quotes and method statements and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Projects & Investment -  Support capital investment, refurbishment and construction projects, monitoring progress, costs and quality through to completion.
  • Budget Management - Monitor maintenance expenditure, support annual budget planning and ensure value for money across all works.
  • Fire & Security - Help maintain fire safety systems, CCTV, access control, fencing and other essential site security measures.
  • Reporting & Administration - Maintain accurate facilities records, produce regular reports and support compliance documentation.
  • Stakeholder Relationships - Build strong working relationships with site teams, contractors and senior stakeholders, promoting best practice across the business.

What We’re Looking For

  • Around 3–5 years or more in a facilities management role, with the experience and confidence to operate independently at management level.  You should already have experience managing facilities and taking accountability for site performance”.
  • A background in facilities management within an industrial, engineering, manufacturing, automotive or similarly operational environment.
  • Experience managing facilities across multiple locations, balancing operational demands and maintaining consistent standards across sites.
  • A thorough understanding of statutory facilities compliance, HSE requirements, relevant legislation, audits, inspections and corrective action management.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach, with the ability to identify issues, investigate root causes and turn findings into clear, effective actions.
  • Experience managing budgets, reviewing quotations, controlling expenditure and assessing value for money.
  • Proven experience managing contractors, maintenance programmes and facilities projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time and to the required standard.
  • The confidence to lead a team, influence stakeholders, challenge suppliers and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Excellent record-keeping, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams without losing sight of critical compliance requirements.
  • Someone who brings fresh thinking, takes personal ownership and is committed to improving the way facilities are managed and maintained.
  • Above all, we want someone who is proactive, practical and accountable. You’ll be comfortable making decisions, knowing when to escalate and distinguishing between the loudest demand and the most important priority. You’ll take pride in your sites, lead by example and consistently deliver high standards
